Bright and Zesty: Your New Go-To Honey Lemon Chicken Recipe
This Honey Lemon Chicken brings together the perfect balance of sweet, tangy and savory flavours with a sauce that clings beautifully to each piece. Not just a chicken dish — it’s a taste experience made simple enough for every home cook.
Here’s how you can achieve succulent chicken in a glossy honey-lemon glaze, plus a few pro tips to guarantee success.
Pro Tips for Perfect Honey Lemon Chicken:
- Even Thickness: For uniform cooking, slice each chicken breast horizontally so you get four pieces; you can optionally pound to about 1 cm thick.
- Season and Coat: Generously season with salt and pepper, then lightly flour to help create a sear and help your sauce thicken.
- Use the Browning Bits: After searing the chicken, deglaze the pan with stock or liquid so you capture all the flavourful brown bits.
- Simmer the Sauce: Once the sauce ingredients are in, allow it to simmer 2 – 3 minutes until it thickens into a luscious syrup.
- Serve Immediately: To enjoy the full shine and flavour of the glaze, serve the chicken topped with sauce rather than letting it sit too long.
